The Terroir

Vineyards of Château Saint-Pierre in Provence

An Exceptional Soil, the Source of Character

The terroir is the invisible imprint that shapes a wine's identity.

At Château Saint-Pierre, it is our greatest asset, this perfect alchemy between soil, climate and expertise that gives rise to unique vintages, vibrant with authenticity.

Our 50 hectares of vines are planted on soil composed of clay, limestone and rounded pebbles, essential elements for structuring our wines. This well-drained, mineral-rich soil allows the roots to grow deep, capturing all the richness of the subsoil to give the grape varieties complexity, freshness and balance.

An Ideal Climate, Between Provençal Light and Sea Breeze

Bathed in 300 days of sunshine each year, our vineyard enjoys perfect conditions for grape ripening. The influence of the mistral, often strong, naturally protects the vines by keeping humidity at bay and concentrating aromas. Combined with seasonal rains, it ensures an optimal balance between power and finesse.

A Commitment to Preserving the Purity of the Terroir

Respecting this land means ensuring the excellence of our wines. This is why we have undertaken a transition to organic farming, promoting a sustainable and soil-friendly approach. No chemical herbicides, carefully managed cover crops, and selective harvesting help preserve every nuance of the terroir.

Our wines are the sincere reflection of this precious land — a unique terroir, an unforgettable signature.
