The Provence wines' story keep going

Since 1902, the Victor Family has been owner of the Château Saint-Pierre in Les Arcs, but, it was time for Mr. Jean-Philippe Victor, producer and winemaker in Les Arcs (83), to enjoy his well-earned retirement.

After 2 years of searching for a buyer who would be able to continue this beautiful winegrowing adventure with the same philosophy, it was finally Mr Yves Forestier who was able to propose the most beautiful takeover project for Château Saint-Pierre!

The Forestier Family :
Owner of the Château Saint-Pierre

The two men got on well together, and the fact that Mr Yves Forestier also comes from a family of entrepreneurs whose company was created in 1907 is perhaps no coincidence !

After several years in the family business specialising in the rental of refrigerated vehicles, Mr Yves Forestier wanted to return to a professional activity that made sense and that reflected his own values: Authenticity, respect and a strong link to the family.

A true epicurean, Mr Forestier finds happiness in the simple things in life. The concepts of biodiversity, respect for the environment, love of the land and the soil are not unknown to him and are especially close to his heart. As a lover of good wines, the acquisition of Château Saint-Pierre was an obvious choice for Mr Forestier and his family !

They have great plans for the future of this Var estate, producer of Côtes de Provence rosé wine.

Château Saint-Pierre :
Future organic wine estate in Provence

Starting with a very fine production tool that Mr Victor had managed to bring to an excellent level of quality, Mr Forestier will now be able to take new steps.

The vineyard, which has always been cultivated using integrated farming methods and holds the HVE level 3 label, is now moving towards a fully organic method of cultivation. Stopping the use of herbicides, using gentler phytosanitary treatments, setting up biodiversity zones, but also working on waste reduction are all projects on which the Château Saint-Pierre team is currently working energetically for a transition during the year 2022.

We will have the opportunity to detail all these actions in this blog. Subscribe to the newsletter to make sure you don't miss anything.
