Tasting

Colour: Lovely garnet colour, medium intensity.

Nose: Powerful, complex nose, with tobacco and vanilla aromas, hints of smoke, red fruit, blackcurrant, raspberry…

Palate: Straightforward attack, a full, rich wine, great volume in the mouth, very good aromatic persistency. Good development potential. Ready for drinking; can be kept four to five years. Its strength makes this a perfect wine for red meat and notably game.

Winemaking

After careful picking, the grapes are in-vat heated for several hours in order to extract the maximum in terms of aroma. Temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation then takes place, followed by a vatting time that can last for up to 3 weeks.
The wine obtained is aged in barrels for 6 to 8 months, then directly bottled without filtration.

These products are either vinified or aged in oak barrels, making them silky, fleshy and full. The perfect accompaniment for gourmet fare. Will please even the most demanding palate.
