The vineyard of the Château, enjoying sunny southwest exposure, is made up of two terroirs: one acid, backing on to the Maures mountains; the other clayey-limestone, in the foothills of the valley of Argens.
The highly varied grape varieties include Grenache, Cinsault (for the rosé), Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan (for red wine) and Clairette, Ugny blanc, Rolle, Sémillon (for the white).
The vine cultivation methods employed remain traditional. Château Saint Pierre has chosen cultural techniques with an eye to protecting the environment including grassing- down (allowing grass to grow between the vines as a means of combating soil erosion), using natural fertilizer and soil tillage.
